In general, it is possible to equip your carts with the PC CADDIE card module and to control their usage using the Mifare cards. The available modules now are for 36V or 48V. The complete control can optionally be extended by a hand-held radio module, which allows controlling the cart without a Mifare card (for maintenance purposes).
