MOXA NPort Serial Server

Every MOXA needs a fix IP Address. You have to clarify with your technicians before the installation which IP addresses can be allocated to MOXAs.

If possible, the MOXAs' IP addresses should be specified when placing the order, so that the correct configuration can be made before the shipment.

You ca also modify the IP afterwards using the moxa macro:

  1. The MOXA tool finds the connected NPort devices even if their IPs are unknown;
  2. Select the adjusted Serial Server;
  3. Open the configuration dialog.

  1. Change to the Network tab;
  2. Check the Modify box in order to change the IP
  3. Enter the desired IP;
  4. Confirm with OK.

:!: Please do not change any of the other options.

HINT: Multiple MOXAs connected to the same network can be distinguished using the MAC address. The MAC address is written on the nameplate.

Systems until 2017 (light grey)

The connection for releasing the balls (for ball machines) or for switching the opener magnet (for doors) is located on the CPU's (mini PC) screw type pluggable terminal. In addition, the Quio reader also includes a relay that can be used as an alternative to that of the CPU, when safety is not a top priority.

Pre-assembled bundle for different installation situations

Since the card system in offline systems has to be installed in different settings depending on the environment, and the configuration of the cables and connections requires expertise, we offer 3 different pre-assembled bundles in order to meet your particular scenario.

1. Pre-assembled and tested for DIN rail for use in ball machines or doors with existing installation environment

2. Pre-assembled and tested for DIN rail in surface-mounting housing

3. Pre-assembled and tested for DIN rail in flush-mounting box

The PC CADDIE technicians will determine which of this options is the right on for you after the purchase. The only important thing you need to do is to purchase the pre-assembled bundle at a flat rate.
